Check engine oil and coolant levels Start engine. Engine sounded normal to tech. Scan vehicle for codes using diagnostic scan tool. No codes present. Test drive vehicle. vehicle ran out fine. Call Glenn to get more information. He said his wife was driving the Rav4 and made several stops. The engine did not start and no lights came on in the dash. It did ding with the key in the ignition. They called AAA and they came out and jump started the battery. The AAA drive thought the engine was mis-firing and told them to have the Rav4 towed to our shop. After we received the information, we did a battery, charging system test. Tech found the negative battery cable is defective. Replace battery cable. Test drive vehicle. Engine idled low. Clean throttle body and relearn idle. Drive again. Everything drove out good.
Check headlights, fog lights, turn signals, parking lights, brake lights, side markers and wiper blades.
